I am glad to write about Bill Gates biography, Bill Gates was born in Seattle, Washington on 28th October 1955. Bill Gates having a rich background by birth. His grand father was vice president of National bank and his father was a lawyer. His Father’s name is William H. Gates, Sr. and Mother name is Maxwell Gates.
At the age of 13 Bill Gates parents enrolled him at Seattle’s Exclusive Preparatory Lakeside School. In this School Bill Gates met Paul Allen. Paul is two years senior than Bill Gates. In a short period both of these became good friends because of having common enthusiasm on computers. In 1970 Bill Gates and Paul Allen went into business together. they both developed a Computer Program “Traf-O-Data” to monitored traffic patterns in Seattle. They netted $20,000 for their efforts.
Bill gates have more interest on computers and he wanted to become a millionaire by starting an own company. But Bill parents hoped he would work to become a lawyer. In 1973 bill graduated from Lakeside school. Later he enrolled at Harvard University and Paul Allen went to work for Honeywell. In this period they got one opportunity to step to grow up, In 1975 Paul Allen showed an edition of “popular electronics” magazine to Bill gates. which was featuring an article on the Altair 8800 mini-computer kit. This Altair was made by a small company in new Mexico called MITS (Micro Instrumentation and Telemetry Systems). MITS is looking for a software program to run that Altair 8800 mini computer.
Paul and Bill decided to take this opportunity. they met with MITS president had explained that they can develop the software which MITS looking for Altair 8800 Mini Computer, By spending their day and night efforts they both had developed a software at Harvard’s Computer Lab. Paul Allen travelled to Mexico, and he had demonstrated that software in MITS. It was worked perfectly in Altair 8800 mini computer. So they successfully achieved their first target.
Here the main part has began in their life. Allen was hired in MITS and Bill left his education at Harvard’s University to work with Allen. Later they both had started one software company with name of Micro-Soft in the same year 1975. within one year hyphen was dropped and the company was registered with name of Microsoft.
In 1976 IBM was approached Microsoft to write a basic interpreter for their new IBM PC, Microsoft was accepted IBM project and they developed one new operating system with name of MS-DOS and delivered it to them in exchange for a one time fee of $50,000. The sales of MS-DOS made Microsoft to played a major role in the software industry.
In 1981 the company was restructured and Bill gates became the president and board chairman, Paul Allen was continued with the vice president position. In 1983 Paul was resigned to Microsoft due to a health disease Cancer. In 1986 bill gates was invented a software called Microsoft windows. This is a great thing which was invented by Microsoft. After that with a great vision and hard work Bill Gates took the Microsoft to became the world’s number one software company. The Vision and Hard work made him world richest man as well.
In 1994 Bill Gates had married with Melinda who was an employee in Microsoft. In the same year they established a foundation with the name of BILL AND MELINDA GATES FOUNDATION, which was dedicated to supporting Education, Health, Agriculture and Poverty Alleviation.
In past twenty four years BIll Gates was announced Eighteen times as a #No 1 richest man in the world.
